Adiba Rahmah was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2022 and holds an LL.M. in Transnational Law from King’s College London. Following on from her success as 2019 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot UAE National Round Champion, she has developed a career in international law. Her prior experience includes working at the Hellenic Republic National Bioethics Commission alongside government lawyers to develop policy papers drawing from international human rights and health law, as well as at five leading law firms in the UK and UAE, including Irwin Mitchell and Al-Tamimi, on a broad range of private international law matters. Additionally, Adiba has experience providing legal advice and representation, including through the Free Representation Unit before the UK social security tribunals, as well as at The AIRE Centre, where Adiba assisted with legal advice and representation in immigration, asylum and human trafficking cases before domestic tribunals and the European Court of Human Rights. At the KCL Transnational Legal Clinic, she was also responsible for drafting an amicus curiae brief on comparative and international criminal and health law that was accepted by the Colombian Constitutional Court and drawn upon in its landmark 2022 decision on women’s rights in Latin America.
