History

The Association of Young International Criminal Lawyers (YICL) was founded in Bologna – Italy, in November 2020, by a group of young international lawyers who sought to create a platform for fostering connections with likeminded professionals.

As a non-profit organisation, YICL aims to promote studies, initiatives and research in the field of criminal law, specifically dedicating its focus to International Criminal Law, while also covering other related subjects such as IHL, IHRL and more generally Criminal Law and Public International Law.
